What Happens When a Parent Registers — for Dawn

What happens when a parent registers

Start to finish.
Hey Dawn,

Quick walkthrough of what happens, start to finish, when a parent registers now.

❧ ❧ ❧
  1. Parent picks a program on your site, adds it to cart, checks out, pays.
  2. The instant they pay, you get a WooCommerce order confirmation email like you always have. The customer also gets one — and that email has been completely rebuilt. It's now tailored to them where it can be (their name, their kid, their program, the right next step) and clean and generic everywhere else. Any previous issues with confusing links or instructions that didn't apply to them — fixed. They land on a page that already knows their kid's name and program. They click one button.
  3. That button opens a registration & waiver form — also pre-filled with what they just entered at checkout. They fill in the rest (DOB, parents, emergency contacts, medical, pickup, waivers, signature). About 5–7 minutes.
  4. They submit.
  5. A branded PDF is generated automatically with everything they entered + their typed signature + the date. Saved to your Drive folder. Emailed to them, and to both of us.
  6. Done. They're registered. You have the waiver. No paperwork to chase.

What if there's more than one kid in the same order?

The form walks the parent through one kid at a time. The PDFs that land in your inbox will have the kid's name in the subject line AND a marker — "1 of 1," or "1 of 2" and "2 of 2," etc.

At a glance you'll know how many kids are in that order and whether you've received all the waivers yet. No wondering "wait, is there another kid I'm still waiting on?"
